customized download's GLB ignores slider settings

rlyj1994 · 5h ago

Hi Polyfork team,

When I customize a model with the sliders and download my version, the GLB in the zip is the default mesh, not my customized one. This happens with every model I tried.

Example: Cliff Perch Ledge (https://polyfork.dev/asset/cliff-perch-ledge-afb065), with height 6.5, reach 8.5, gouges 0, bones off.
- index.html and the .mjs in the zip show my customized model correctly, and README.txt lists my options.
- The GLB in the same zip measures 6.82 x 5.63 x 7.01 m, 613 tris (the stock model). With my settings it should be about 6.82 x 6.50 x 8.55 m, 341 tris.

So the GLB export seems to ignore the slider parameters.

Thanks for the precise report, the measurements made this easy to pin down. You were right: the configurator's download always started from the stock GLB and only applied colours, so geometry
sliders never reached the mesh. It's fixed and live now: with your Cliff Perch Ledge settings the GLB comes out at 6.82 x 6.50 x 8.55 m, 341 tris. Any zip you downloaded before has the stock mesh
in it, so please download it again.

Thanks for fixing the GLB bug so quickly, it works great now.

One small feature request: when I customize a model, it would be great to download just the .glb file directly, without the zip. For game engines like Unity and Godot, I only need the GLB, so I have to unzip every time. A separate "Download my GLB" button (maybe next to the zip option) would save a lot of steps.

Thanks again,
